Why has female domestic violence soared in the past 6 years?

I think it always been there, but people didn't take it seriously. I have personally been abused a lot more by my mother than I was by my father. I don't mean spanked, I mean beaten and verbally abused, psychologically manipulated and tortured. In my opinion she should be in jail or the nuthouse. No doubt about it. Also, sexually abused by a female cousin. Guess what, people don't take that sh*t seriously either.
