How does Yahoo handle fraud perpetrated using a Yahoo email?

I recently found a fraudulent charge on my credit card and learned from the vendor that the person(s) who used my credit card received an email confirmation of the order to a Yahoo email address which is similar to my home email address (but this email isn't on Yahoo). We know it's fraud, so is there anything that Yahoo can do to help catch these thieves and to deactivate or watch that email address?
