Question About Wicca - Deity Relationships?

I have been trying recently to form a personal relationship with various gods and goddesses, and have asked for dreams and identifiers as to the identity of which gods and/or goddesses I resonate with best, but I feel like I am getting nowhere. I have carefully noted my dreams and signs around me, but I am not getting anything really that may pertain to this information. Are there any suggestions as to how I should go about this, forming a personal relationship with deities? I have also tried to just relax and let events run their course, but I still feel, again, like I am getting nowhere. Please help!
