Ive got a wicca basket in my guinea pigs cage is it safe for them too chew on?

i think its got a coating on it maybe vanish or something but i cant be sure, would it be ok for them its more for them to sleep in with a blanket but they are chewing it slightly so i took it out until i know its safe =] thanks
