I am under 18 and I want to start practicing magic? ?

People keep tellin me it will back fire? Also they say no one will train me for this. I was told by a Wicca herself? Do any other experienced Wiccas have advise? Should I just wait until I'm 18? Also I don't want to try hard spells or anything just simple luck charms and money spells?
